Music

Music is an art form whose medium is sound organized in time. In many cultures music is an integral part of life - it helps us deal with our emotions, calm anger, ease tension, and can make any task more enjoyable. We download it, plug into it - it's everywhere we go! The Community Arts Connection wants to offer unique alternatives to the typical music lessons. We want to provide opportunities for the residents of the South Lake community to explore music and find their specific talents, and then be able to participate in various musical settings. Here are some of the programs we are exploring. If you would like more information or are interested in participating, please contact us.

· Community Choral Society

· Community Music Festival featuring local talent performing various styles of music

· Music Education Classes – various vocal and instrumental classes and workshops

· Music Recitals

· Collection location for used instruments

· Instrument rentals to be used at the Community Arts Connection facility (i.e. piano, drums, guitar)

We are currently working on a list of possible classes that we will be offering for children, youth and adults.
